It is not an understatement to say I'm enjoying this time of my life like never before. Mostly because my Emma is growing so fast and I feel an awful lot of satisfaction to think I have been part of her life, her stories and her memories for over 3 years.
Maybe it's me but unlike other moms I don't truly wish I could turn back time so that I could have her be a baby again. I feel like I have fully enjoyed her each step of the way. I held her as much as I could when she was a baby, I hugged her and kissed her and smothered her as much as she let me. Now that she's a little girl I get so excited at the sound of her new little words. I love to talk about her friends with her, her likes and dislikes... it's like getting to know a friend but only a million times more magical.
Now, I've been waiting for this time for a long time. I've never really posted recipes for kiddie before and the reason is simple. Because Emma doesn't eat like a regular kid, suffice to say garlic bread, olives on pizza and red bell peppers are her least strange likes. Obviously then, I haven't been waiting just to post about kiddie food but rather to COOK food with my daughter.
This is our first recipe, simple and extremely French. Those who have been to France will agree with me that French people make the best hot chocolate in the world. No double cream, no added whipped cream and no marshmallows. Plain organic milk and really good chocolate does the trick. As usual you can print the recipe here.
In the words of Emma: "aurevoorjo" aka Au Revoir!
